YOUR CROSS MY CROSS

by frjimmy @ 2008-08-02 - 18:23:00

We complain about the cross we bear but don't realize it is preparing us for the dip in the road ahead that God can see and we cannot.

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
there will always be sunshine, after the rain....

Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall;
But God's always ready, to answer your call....

He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
a word from His lips, can calm every fear...

Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish, by dawn's early light...

The Saviour is waiting, somewhere above,
to give you His grace, and send you His love.

May God fill your day with blessings!!

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle!

TWO PRIEST ON VACATION

by frjimmy @ 2008-07-26 - 16:23:16

Two priests were going to Hawaii on vacation and
decided that they would make this a real vacation by
not wearing anything that would identify them as
clergy.

As soon as the plane landed, they headed for a store
and bought some really outrageous shorts, shirts,
sandals, sunglasses, and etc.

The next morning they went to the beach, dressed in
their "tourist" garb and were sitting on beach
chairs, enjoying a drink, the sunshine and the
scenery when a "drop dead gorgeous" blonde in beach
outfit came walking straight towards them. They
couldn't help but stare and when she passed them,
she smiled and said, "Good morning, Father" - "Good
morning, Father," nodding and addressing each of
them individually, then passed on by.

They were both stunned. How in the world did she
recognize them as priests?

The next day they went back to the store, bought
even more outrageous outfits-these were so loud, you
could hear them before you even saw them-and again
settled on the beach in their chairs to enjoy the
sunshine, etc.

After a while, the same gorgeous blonde,
came walking toward them again.
(They were glad they had sunglasses, because
their eyes were about to pop out of their heads.)

Again, she approached them and greeted them
individually: "Good morning, Father," "Good morning
Father," and started to walk away.

One of the priests couldn't stand it and said. "Just
a minute, young lady. Yes, we are priests, and proud
of it, but I have to know, how in the world did YOU
know?"

"Oh, Father, don't you recognize me? I'm Sister
Angela!" a member of the choir.

GOD WANTS YOU TO KNOW THIS

by frjimmy @ 2008-07-26 - 16:12:28

Everything that is going wrong in your life today shall be well with you this year.

No matter how much your enemies try this year, " they will
not" succeed.

You have been destined to make it and you shall surely achieve all your goals this year.

For the remaining months of this year (2008), all your agonies will be diverted and victory and prosperity will be incoming in abundance.

Today God has confirmed the end of your sufferings sorrows and pains because HE that sits on the throne has remembered you.

He has taken away the hardships and given you JOY. He will never let you down.

I knocked at heaven's door this morning, God asked me... My child! What can I do for you? And I said, "Father, please protect and bless the person reading this message"..

God smiled and answered...

THE WORLD LONGS FOR HIS PEACE

by frjimmy @ 2008-07-26 - 16:05:53

There are millions of men, women, and children around the world craving and starving for this glorious peace that you and I know on a daily basis.
This peace that passeth all understanding—this peace that you and I have known since our salvation—this is what humanity is crying for. And the joy that you and I know daily is what the world is crying for continually.
Think about the billions of dollars humanity spends looking for joy and peace, yet this joy and peace comes only through Jesus Christ.
And somebody’s got to tell them that he is risen and he is alive. That somebody is you and me. Are we ready for this? Are we doing just that?
For the Lord has called you and me to tell the glorious Gospel, the good news of salvation to the nations, and truly our time is running out.

**JESUS LOVE’S YOU**

by frjimmy @ 2008-07-26 - 16:00:21

I often ask myself, Where would I be today had I not met Jesus in my life? Frankly, I don’t even want to think about it, for my life would be empty now and meaningless. Do you ask yourself the same question?
I’ve always said to my self, “It would have been better to never have been born than to not have met Jesus.” Do you say the same

He has given my life glorious meaning and fulfilment and satisfied me beyond any measure? Do you feel the same?

Truly the richest man without Jesus is poor, and the poorest man with Jesus is rich.

The songwriter said it beautifully when he wrote:
You are my everything, You are my all; You are my everything both great and small. You gave your life for me and made everything new. Jesus, you are my everything, and I love you.

What better words do we have to describe him enough?
And I’m sure there have been moments when you, too, have wondered, where would you be without Jesus?

He has done so much for you and so much for me. Truly, great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. Amen

Now this same precious Jesus, who has touched your life and given rest to our souls, is calling you and me to serve Him and to obey Him. Have you heard his call.

THE GRACE OF GOD

by frjimmy @ 2008-07-26 - 15:43:45

Concentrate on this sentence:

When God takes something from your grasp,

He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.

Concentrate on this sentence.....'
The will of God will never take you where the Grace of God will not protect you.'

Something good will happen to you today.

GOD'S HEART HURTS»

by frjimmy @ 2008-07-18 - 09:31:27

God judged…Noah’s day. He judged the inhabitants of the world at that time, because the heart was evil. And God was sad that He had created man. You see, it makes God’s heart hurt when He sees sin. He’s a holy God. He cannot tolerate sin. He could not tolerate it in Noah’s day, and cannot tolerate it in our day. But you see, God is a God of love. He loves you. He’s willing to forgive. He was willing to forgive in Noah’s day. A hundred and twenty years they had a chance to say, "God, we’ve sinned against you. We’re sorry." But they didn’t. Judgement day is coming. Are you reading to stand before God?

As Franklin Graham says, you can be ready to stand before a Holy God if you come to him through faith in Jesus Christ.

KNOWING YOUR PURPOSE

by frjimmy @ 2008-07-03 - 10:38:04

Knowing your purpose gives meaning to your life. When your life has a steadfast purpose you can bear almost anything. Without it, nothing is bearable. Isaiah complained, "I have laboured to no purpose; I have spent my strength in vain and for nothing" (Isaiah 49:4 NIV). Job lamented, "I give up; I am tired of living. Leave me alone. My life makes no sense" (Job 7:16 GNT). A doctor found out that he could predict which of his cancer patients were most likely to survive by asking, "Do you want to live to be 100?" Those with a deep sense of purpose who answered "yes", were the ones who would live.

Having a steadfast purpose simplifies life. It defines what you do and what you don't do. It becomes the standard you use to evaluate which activities are essential and which aren't. Without purpose you've no real foundation on which to base your decisions, allocate your time and use your resources. You tend to make choices based on circumstances, pressures, and your mood at that moment. When you don't know your purpose you try to do too much, and that causes stress and conflict. It's impossible to do everything people want you to do; you have just enough time to do God's will. If you can't get it all done, you're trying to do more than God intended.

A steadfast purpose makes your lifestyle simpler and your schedule saner. And it leads to peace of mind: "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast" (Isaiah 26:3 NIV).

BAD TEMPER - NO GOOD

by frjimmy @ 2008-05-23 - 13:24:52

Nail in the fence

There was once a little boy who had a very bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that any time he lost his temper,he should hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day he had driven 37 nails into the fence.Over the next few weeks as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down.He discovered it was easier to control his temper than to hammer those nails into the fence.
Finally the day came when the boy didn't loose his temper at all.He told his father about it and the father suggested that he pull out one nail each day he was able to hold his temper.
The days passed and the young boy was able to tell dad that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence and said,"you have done well my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same again. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one.
You can put a knife into someone and draw it wont matter how many times you say sorry the wound is still there.

ATTENTION ALL CHURCH MEMBERS

by frjimmy @ 2008-05-23 - 13:20:25

THE BLOOD

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God
at her heart.
She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour.
The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol,
drugs, and prostitution.
But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became
a faithful member of the church.
She eventually became involved in the ministry,
teaching young children.
It was not very long until this faithful young woman
had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son.
The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans.
This is when the problems began.
You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman
with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son.
The church began to argue and fight about the matter.
So they decided to have a meeting.
As the people made their arguments and tensions increased,
the meeting was getting completely out of hand.
The young woman became very upset about all the things
being brought up about her past.
As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak.
He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be.
He began to speak and his statement was this:
"My fiancee's past is not what is on trial here.
What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus
to wash away sin.
Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial.
So, does it wash away sin or not?"
The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past
and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters.
Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel
of our Lord Jesus Christ.
If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely
then it cannot cleanse us completely.
If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble.
What can wash away my sins?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus! End of case!!!!
"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee
he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."
Psalm 55:23
