large pots, each hung on the ends of a pole which she carried across her neck.
One of the pots had a crack in it while the other pot was perfect and
always delivered a full portion of water.
At the end of the long walks from the stream to the house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.
For a full two years this went on daily, with the woman bringing home only one and a half pots of water.
Of course, the perfect pot was proud
of its accomplishments..
But the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own
imperfection, and miserable that it could only do half of what it had been made to do.
After two years of what it perceived to be bitter failure,
it spoke to the woman one day by the stream.
"I am ashamed of myself,
because this crack in my side causes water to leak out all the way back to your house."
The old woman smiled, "Did you notice that there are
flowers on your side of the path, but not on the other pot's side?"
"That's because I have always known about your flaw, so I planted
flower seeds on your side of the path, and every day while we walk back, you water them."
"For two years I have been able to pick these beautiful
flowers to decorate the table.
Without you being just the way you are,
there would not be this beauty to grace the house."

Each of us have our own unique flaw. But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that make our lives together so very interesting and rewarding..
You've just got to take each person for what they are and look for the good in them.
SO, to all of my crackpot friends, have a great time and remember to smell the flowers on your side of the path!

It kept me from being me; I couldn't do things God's way. I threw out a book on MY PAST
(Didn't have time to read it anyway).

Replaced it with NEW GOALS, started reading it today. I threw out hate and bad memories,(Remember how I treasured them so)?

Got me a NEW PHILOSOPHY too, threw out the one from long ago Brought in some new books too, called I CAN, I WILL, and I MUST.

Threw out I might, I think and I ought. WOW, you should have seen the dust.

I ran across an OLD FRIEND, I hadn't talked to in a while.

His name is GOD the Father, and I really like His style. He helped me to do some cleaning and added some things Himself.

Like PRAYER, HOPE, FAITH and LOVE, Yes... I placed them right on the shelf. I picked up this special thing and placed it at the front door.

I FOUND IT- it's called PEACE. Nothing gets me down any more.

Yes, I've got my house looking nice. Looks good around the place. For things like Worry and Trouble there just isn't any space.

It's good to do a little house cleaning, Get rid of the things on the shelf. It sure makes things brighter; maybe you should

TRY IT YOURSELF.

BE BLESSED AND BE A BLESSING !!!!: wave:

For Those Who Wonder Why they Have Problems And they Say," Why Me" GOD

There are 5 ways God uses Problems to exhort us

1. God uses problems to DIRECT you. Sometimes God must light a fire under you to get you moving. Problems often point us in a new direction and motivate us to change. Is God trying to get your attention?

2. God uses problems to INSPECT you. People are like tea bags......if you want to know what's inside them, you just drop them into hot water. Has God tested your faith with a problem? What do your problems reveal about you?

3. God uses problems to CORRECT you. Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. It's likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a hot stove. But you probably learned by being burned. Sometimes we only learn the value of something........Health, money, a relationship........ by losing it.

4. God uses problems to PROTECT you. A problem can be a Blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Last year a friend was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss had asked him to do. His unemployment was a problem-but it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison a year later when management's actions were eventually discovered.

5. God uses problems to PERFECT you. Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders. God is far more interested in your character than your comfort. Your relationship to God and your character are the only two things you're going to take with you into eternity.

God uses problems to DIRECT, INSPECT, CORRECT, PROTECT AND PERFECT us.

No matter what you're going through in life, count it all joy, for our God is truly an Awesome God. Stay blessed and continue to be a blessing to others.

 Comments

FOUR MAIN RULES OF LIFE

DRINK, STEAL, SWEAR & LIE

I met this guy while I was on outreach and he has
a motto he lives by everyday. He said listen carefully and
live by these 4 rules : Drink, Steal, Swear, & Lie.
I was shaking my head 'no'no,no, but he then told me to listen
while he explained his four rules.
So here they are :
1.. "Drink" from the "everlasting cup" every day.

2.. "Steal" a moment to help someone that is in worse shape
than you are.
3.. "Swear" that you will be a better person today than
yesterday.
4.. And last, but not least, when you "lie" down at night
thank God for life, health and strength.

I am not as good as I should be, I am not as good
as I could be . but THANK GOD
I am better than what I used to be !

It was full of surprises from the family and friends. It started with messages of best wishes from blog friends and SMS's from well wishers.
Fellows at work welcomed me with a happy birthday song and received a phone call that also started with a happy birthday song at the end of the song and to my surprise it was from a man of the cloth.
The day passed by quickly with head buried in a lot of office work but thank God its closing time.
Went home and was greeted with lots of cards the movements were promising but not exactly revealing, then appeared the lady of the house with a big smile and a wide hug "oops".
Lots of goodies for the surprise dinner, in a wee bit then the aroma coming from the kitchen, then the ambiance ect ect ect.
By mid night it was time to wind down and take a sleep for work the next day.It was superb.

The road to success is not straight. There is a curve called Failure, a loop
caution lights called Family. You will have flats called Jobs. But, if you
Some are physical-- i.e., tornadoes, floods, earthquakes. Some are personal--- i.e., death, job problems, soured friendships. Storms are a part of life.
The right question is not whether they will come, or when, but how we will respond to them.
Paul faced a life-threatening storm. He was on his way to Rome to see Caesar, to stand trial. (Acts 27:14-44)
For 14 days the ship was in a raging sea. But Paul never panicked. As the crew panicked, Paul stood and shared the anchors that held his life secure.
Will your anchor hold in the storms of life?

Sometimes He breaks our heart to make us whole.
Sometimes God allows pain so we can be stronger.
Sometimes God sends us failure so we can be humble.
Sometimes God allows illness so we can take better care of ourselves.
Sometimes God allows everything to be taken away from us so we can learn the value of everything He gave us.

"God, please give me the strength to cross the river."

Poof! God gave him big arms and strong legs and he was able to swim across in about 2 hours, having almost drowned twice.

After witnessing that, the second man prayed,

"God, please give me strength and the tools to cross the river."

Seeing what happened to the first two men, the third man prayed, "God, please give me the strength, the tools and the intelligence to cross the river.

Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask
your forgiveness and to seek your direction and
guidance. We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those
who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we
have done.

We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed
our values.

We have exploited the poor and called it
the lottery.

We have rewarded laziness and called it
welfare.

We have killed our unborn and called it
choice.

We have shot abortionists and called it
justifiable.

We have neglected to discipline our
children and called it building self esteem..

We have abused power and called it
politics.

We have coveted our neighbour's possessions
and called it ambition.

We have polluted the air with profanity and
pornography and called it freedom of expression.

We have ridiculed the time-honoured values
of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.

Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts
today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free.
Amen!

Luke 6:38 NIV
When it comes to giving, the Bible clearly teaches us two things: (1) We should give expecting to receive! You say, "If I get more, I'll give more." No, you've got it back to front. Jesus said, "Give and it will be given to you… the measure you use… will be measured to you" (Luke 6:38 NIV). The level of your giving determines the level of your receiving. So break through your barriers of fear and put God to the test, He won't disappoint you. (2) We get back more than we give. Paul writes, "Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will… increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness" (2 Corinthians 9:10 NIV). Notice, some of the seed [money] God gives us is for food (our own needs), and some is for "a harvest of righteousness". What does that mean? Paul explains: "He has scattered abroad His gifts to the poor; His righteousness endures forever" (2 Corinthians 9:9 NIV). To be truly righteous we must show compassion toward the hurting and give generously to those who are unable to provide for themselves. The Bible says that when we give to the poor, we lend to the Lord and He will repay us (Proverbs 19:17). Imagine the interest God pays! Jesus describes it as: "Good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over" (Luke 6:38 NIV). There's no lack of money in this world, God just wants to get it into the right hands!
And by the way, giving is not just how the church raises its budget, it's how God raises His children so that His work gets accomplished and they get blessed in the process.
So, how's your giving?

Your words, your dreams, and your thoughts have power to create conditions in your life.
What you speak about, you can bring about.

If you keep saying you can't stand your job, you might lose your job.
If you keep saying you can't stand your body, your body can become sick.
If you keep saying you can't stand your car, your car could be stolen or just stop operating.
If you keep saying you're broke, guess what? You'll always be broke.
If you keep saying you can't trust a man or trust a woman, you will always find someone in your life
To hurt and betray you.
If you keep saying you can't find a job, you will remain unemployed.
If you keep saying you can't find someone to love you or believe in you, your very thought will attract more experiences to confirm your beliefs.
If you keep talking about a divorce or break up in a relationship, then you might end up with it.

Turn your thoughts and conversations around to be more positive and power packed with faith, hope, love and action.
Don't be afraid to believe that you can have what you want and deserve.

Watch your Thoughts, they become words.
Watch your Words, they become actions.
Watch your Actions, they become habits.
Watch your Habits, they become character.
Watch your Character, for it becomes your Destiny.

The minute you settle for less than you deserve, you get even less than you settle for.
Thought I would share this with you.

Blessings

Whatever your cross, whatever your pain,
there will always be sunshine, after the rain....

Perhaps you may stumble, perhaps even fall;
But God's always ready, to answer your call....

He knows every heartache, sees every tear,
a word from His lips, can calm every fear...

Your sorrows may linger, throughout the night,
But suddenly vanish, by dawn's early light...

The Saviour is waiting, somewhere above,
to give you His grace, and send you His love.

May God fill your day with blessings!!

Be kinder than necessary, for everyone you meet is fighting some kind of battle!

decided that they would make this a real vacation by
not wearing anything that would identify them as
clergy.

As soon as the plane landed, they headed for a store
and bought some really outrageous shorts, shirts,
sandals, sunglasses, and etc.

The next morning they went to the beach, dressed in
their "tourist" garb and were sitting on beach
chairs, enjoying a drink, the sunshine and the
scenery when a "drop dead gorgeous" blonde in beach
outfit came walking straight towards them. They
couldn't help but stare and when she passed them,
she smiled and said, "Good morning, Father" - "Good
morning, Father," nodding and addressing each of
them individually, then passed on by.

They were both stunned. How in the world did she
recognize them as priests?

The next day they went back to the store, bought
even more outrageous outfits-these were so loud, you
could hear them before you even saw them-and again
settled on the beach in their chairs to enjoy the
sunshine, etc.

After a while, the same gorgeous blonde,
came walking toward them again.
(They were glad they had sunglasses, because
their eyes were about to pop out of their heads.)

Again, she approached them and greeted them
individually: "Good morning, Father," "Good morning
Father," and started to walk away.

One of the priests couldn't stand it and said. "Just
a minute, young lady. Yes, we are priests, and proud
of it, but I have to know, how in the world did YOU
know?"

"Oh, Father, don't you recognize me? I'm Sister
Angela!" a member of the choir.

End of Story///

Everything that is going wrong in your life today shall be well with you this year.

No matter how much your enemies try this year, " they will
not" succeed.

You have been destined to make it and you shall surely achieve all your goals this year.

For the remaining months of this year (2008), all your agonies will be diverted and victory and prosperity will be incoming in abundance.

Today God has confirmed the end of your sufferings sorrows and pains because HE that sits on the throne has remembered you.

He has taken away the hardships and given you JOY. He will never let you down.

I knocked at heaven's door this morning, God asked me... My child! What can I do for you? And I said, "Father, please protect and bless the person reading this message"..

God smiled and answered...

Request granted.

This peace that passeth all understanding—this peace that you and I have known since our salvation—this is what humanity is crying for. And the joy that you and I know daily is what the world is crying for continually.
Think about the billions of dollars humanity spends looking for joy and peace, yet this joy and peace comes only through Jesus Christ.
And somebody’s got to tell them that he is risen and he is alive. That somebody is you and me. Are we ready for this? Are we doing just that?
For the Lord has called you and me to tell the glorious Gospel, the good news of salvation to the nations, and truly our time is running out.
Frankly, I don’t even want to think about it, for my life would be empty now and meaningless. Do you ask yourself the same question?
I’ve always said to my self, “It would have been better to never have been born than to not have met Jesus.” Do you say the same

He has given my life glorious meaning and fulfilment and satisfied me beyond any measure? Do you feel the same?

Truly the richest man without Jesus is poor, and the poorest man with Jesus is rich.

The songwriter said it beautifully when he wrote:
You are my everything, You are my all; You are my everything both great and small. You gave your life for me and made everything new. Jesus, you are my everything, and I love you.

What better words do we have to describe him enough?
And I’m sure there have been moments when you, too, have wondered, where would you be without Jesus?

He has done so much for you and so much for me. Truly, great is the Lord and greatly to be praised. Amen

Now this same precious Jesus, who has touched your life and given rest to our souls, is calling you and me to serve Him and to obey Him. Have you heard his call.

When God takes something from your grasp,

He's not punishing you, but merely opening your hands to receive something better.

He judged the inhabitants of the world at that time, because the heart was evil. And God was sad that He had created man. You see, it makes God’s heart hurt when He sees sin. He’s a holy God. He cannot tolerate sin. He could not tolerate it in Noah’s day, and cannot tolerate it in our day. But you see, God is a God of love. He loves you. He’s willing to forgive. He was willing to forgive in Noah’s day. A hundred and twenty years they had a chance to say, "God, we’ve sinned against you. We’re sorry." But they didn’t. Judgement day is coming. Are you reading to stand before God?

As Franklin Graham says, you can be ready to stand before a Holy God if you come to him through faith in Jesus Christ.
Without it, nothing is bearable. Isaiah complained, "I have laboured to no purpose; I have spent my strength in vain and for nothing" (Isaiah 49:4 NIV). Job lamented, "I give up; I am tired of living. Leave me alone. My life makes no sense" (Job 7:16 GNT). A doctor found out that he could predict which of his cancer patients were most likely to survive by asking, "Do you want to live to be 100?" Those with a deep sense of purpose who answered "yes", were the ones who would live.

Having a steadfast purpose simplifies life. It defines what you do and what you don't do. It becomes the standard you use to evaluate which activities are essential and which aren't. Without purpose you've no real foundation on which to base your decisions, allocate your time and use your resources. You tend to make choices based on circumstances, pressures, and your mood at that moment. When you don't know your purpose you try to do too much, and that causes stress and conflict. It's impossible to do everything people want you to do; you have just enough time to do God's will. If you can't get it all done, you're trying to do more than God intended.

A steadfast purpose makes your lifestyle simpler and your schedule saner. And it leads to peace of mind: "You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast" (Isaiah 26:3 NIV).

There was once a little boy who had a very bad temper. His father gave him a bag of nails and told him that any time he lost his temper,he should hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day he had driven 37 nails into the fence.Over the next few weeks as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down.He discovered it was easier to control his temper than to hammer those nails into the fence.
Finally the day came when the boy didn't loose his temper at all.He told his father about it and the father suggested that he pull out one nail each day he was able to hold his temper.
The days passed and the young boy was able to tell dad that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence and said,"you have done well my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same again. When you say things in anger, they leave a scar just like this one.
You can put a knife into someone and draw it wont matter how many times you say sorry the wound is still there.

THE BLOOD

One night in a church service a young woman felt the tug of God
at her heart.
She responded to God's call and accepted Jesus as her Lord and Saviour.
The young woman had a very rough past, involving alcohol,
drugs, and prostitution.
But, the change in her was evident. As time went on she became
a faithful member of the church.
She eventually became involved in the ministry,
teaching young children.
It was not very long until this faithful young woman
had caught the eye and heart of the pastor's son.
The relationship grew and they began to make wedding plans.
This is when the problems began.
You see, about one half of the church did not think that a woman
with a past such as hers was suitable for a pastor's son.
The church began to argue and fight about the matter.
So they decided to have a meeting.
As the people made their arguments and tensions increased,
the meeting was getting completely out of hand.
The young woman became very upset about all the things
being brought up about her past.
As she began to cry the pastor's son stood to speak.
He could not bear the pain it was causing his wife to be.
He began to speak and his statement was this:
"My fiancee's past is not what is on trial here.
What you are questioning is the ability of the blood of Jesus
to wash away sin.
Today you have put the blood of Jesus on trial.
So, does it wash away sin or not?"
The whole church began to weep as they realized that they had been slandering the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Too often, even as Christians, we bring up the past
and use it as a weapon against our brothers and sisters.
Forgiveness is a very foundational part of the Gospel
of our Lord Jesus Christ.
If the blood of Jesus does not cleanse the other person completely
then it cannot cleanse us completely.
If that is the case, then we are all in a lot of trouble.
What can wash away my sins?
Nothing but the blood of Jesus! End of case!!!!
"Cast thy burden upon the Lord, and he shall sustain thee
he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved."
Psalm 55:23
